More details:  This is an outstanding opportunity to learn how one of the Society’s finest, Steve Armstrong (multi-medalist director of Toronto Northern Lights, Music Judge and Arranger), approaches rehearsal techniques, song development, and building what some have called the finest ensemble sound in our Society.  Steve and TNL have consistently demonstrated that, by coupling an outstanding vocal model and sensitivity to the music with creative, inventive staging and presentation, small choruses can be wildly successful by any metric.
The session will take the form of a moderated, day-long rehearsal, led by Steve.  Steve Tramack will act as the moderator, capturing key takeaways and approaches, along with providing opportunities to review successes and give frontline directors a chance to spend time out in front with Steve Armstrong.  The workshop attendees will act as the chorus, and should arrive knowing the selected music (the David Wright arrangement of “Love Me, and the World is Mine” – part recordings will be available for download after registration, and sheet music will be mailed to participants).
